"Pros: The property was very clean and well presented. It was comfortable and well equipped as a small apartment, having everything required for a short self-catering holiday. The host, Shirley, greeted us on arrival and was very helpful and friendly. We were able to contact him by phone during our stay. The property is a residential area, well away from the city centre and large hotels. Local people were friendly and welcoming. We are vegetarians and were very pleased to find an excellent Plant based food trailer on Bay Street, Eleven Oh Seven. In the same area, Savvy On The Beach is an excellent Beach Bar which had live music on several nights during the week we were in Bridgetown. We visited Holetown, The Barbados Animal Reserve, The Animal Flower Caves, Bathsheba Beach, Paynes Bay Beach and Oistins Fish Fry (on Friday). For these trips we mostly used the local “Reggae”buses which were cheap, plentiful and fun, although sometimes very crowded and nearly always noisy! Cons: It is about a 30 minute walk into the city centre, although buses are available nearby. The shower took a bit of getting used to, it was never very hot but was adequate considering the warm climate. The official timetabled bus services were a bit unreliable; reggae buses often came when scheduled buses did not show up." ~Mikes56

"Pros: It is a nice apartment with a very powerful shower unit. The fridge / freezer is a very good size. The television sets had quite a few movie channels which is very useful for late evening entertainment. Although I didn't meet Sylvester (the owner) his son Shane was very helpful with any issues I had. The Apartment is about ten minutes by local bus to Central Bridgetown or a twenty five minutes walk. All in all a good Apartment for the price.. Cons: Perhaps more cooking utensils for home cooking would be useful. Also extra work surface for food preparation. The" ~Stephen

"Pros: The cottage was clean and all necessities were provided. The beach was steps away and beautiful. Cons: Direction on how to access the key were confusing. We called the host, who did not return our call. We called a second number that was provided in the check in instructions and got a recording that the number was not in service. We called customer service at Booking.com and they tried to assist. Eventually, another guest helped us locate the keys. On our last day, the toilet began to leak, with water spilling on the floor. When we called the host, her first comment was that she didn't know if she could find a repair person since it was Good Friday. Had my partner not been able to shut the water flow, there would have been a significant flood. The location and cottage wer lovely. Communication with the host/agent was poor." ~Goldstein
