Built in 1757 in a traditional wooden style, the Hirschen Hotel in Schwarzenberg in the Bregenz Forest offers an award-winning gourmet restaurant, a sauna, and free underground parking. Free WiFi is available throughout the building. Focusing on sustainability, the hotel also features 2 charging stations for e-cars. Dornbirn is a 20-minute drive away. The Hirschen Schwarzenberg features individually furnished rooms in a rustic style with wooden furniture and floors, either located in the main building or in the annex (30 metres away). They are located in the historic main building and in the quiet Wälderhaus annexe. All rooms include satellite TV, and a bathroom with bathrobes, slippers, and a hairdryer. The Hirschen's restaurant has been awarded two toques. You can choose from a menu that changes daily - as little or as much as you want. Soul food and fine dining with the best regional products. Vegetarian options are available. On Sunday and Monday the à la carte restaurant is closed (except between mid-July and the end of August). On these two evenings you choose from the bistro menu. The Rothenbach mountain pasture is a part of the hotel and can be reached on hiking trails starting at the Hirschen. In winter, the ski slopes end right at the doorstep. A ski bus stops in front of the hotel and takes guests to various ski areas. Snow shoeing equipment and toboggans can be borrowed free of charge on site. During the Bregenz Festival, the hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the stage. Before the transfer, a 3-course gourmet dinner is available on request. From 1 May to 31 October, the Bregenzerwald Card is included in the rate with a minimum stay of 3 nights. This card offers many free benefits and discounts, including free use of local cable cars, buses, and trains.

Spa/wellness centre is closed from Mon 18 Mar 2024 until Thu 02 May 2024 Please let the property know in advance if you plan to arrive after 21:00. You can use the Special Requests box when booking or contact the property. Please note that the à la Carte restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays (only in July and August). On these days you can choose from our bistro menu. If you want to dine à la carte, please reserve a table in the restaurant. The property does not automatically reserve a table. Contact details can be found in the booking confirmation. Please note that pets need to be mentioned in advance, as they are only allowed in some rooms and not in all areas of the house. Please note that if you would like a transfer to the Bregenz Festival, inform the property in advance. Please note that the rooms are located either in the main building or in the annex, which is 30 metres away. The Hirschenau garden facility will be closed in the summer of 2023 for renovation work. From 4 September to 31 January the spa area is closed due to refurbishment. Please note that the swimming pool is open from 07:30–08:30 and from 17:00–18:00. Children aged 13 and under are not allowed in the sauna.
