Offering direct access to a network of hiking trails and to the slopes of the Klippitztörl Ski Area, Hotel Alpengasthof Hochegger offers a large spa area, free WiFi, and a restaurant. A ski lift is right outside. The Alpine-style rooms offer mountain views, a flat-screen satellite TV, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Most rooms have a balcony. Spa facilities at the Hochegger Alpengasthof include a sauna, aromatic steam bath, large hot tub, and sun bed. A wide range of massages, including Ayurveda, is offered. The restaurant serves Carinthian specialities, Austrian and international cuisine, and a rich breakfast buffet. Half-board includes a 5-course dinner. The sun terrace offers panoramic views over the valley. A children’s playground is available, and free private parking is available on site. A summer toboggan run and a climbing rock are right outside. In July and August, a programme of activities for children is offered. In the summer season, the hotel organises guided hiking tours and provides hiking maps and hiking equipment free of charge.

Children from 11 years old to 15 years old stay for € 60 per person per night when using an available extra bed. Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.
