"Pros: After hiking for 29 kilometres over the Alps, climbing some 1700 metres in one day, I was very glad of a comfortable stay at Haus Margrith. The bed and duvet were so comfortable that I slept really well all night. Breakfast was varied and enormous! The fruit to go with the yoghurt and muesli was especially welcome.
Cons: As Haus Margrith does not do evening meals I walked to the nearby building labelled Hotel and Restaurant. Unfortunately its restaurant was only for hotel guests and I was caught in heavy rain. Becoming exceedingly wet I gave up the search for food soon after as it might have been a wild goose chase. The settlement of Damuls is also spread out over a very steep hill so getting to different parts of the village in the search for food is not as easy as it might appear looking at a map. Some information on local restaurants open to drop in customers and takeaways in the information pack in the room would have been useful. Also could not make WiFi work, sooo tired I just gave up......" ~John
