Madsen Retreat offers pet-friendly accommodation in Penguin. Free secure on-site parking available. A full cooked English breakfast is available for an additional $15 per person, per night. All rooms have a private bathroom and toilet, and some give access to a spa bath. All rooms provide free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, bathrobes and slippers. All units provide access to tables, seating and places to relax and enjoy an ocean view. During winter guests can enjoy sitting in front of a wood fire. The guest house offers a private lounge and bike hire. Devonport is 25 km from the guest house, while Burnie is 16 km away.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform Madsen Retreat in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. In accordance with government guidelines to minimise transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property may request additional documentation from guests to validate identity, travel itinerary and other relevant information, during dates where such guidelines exist. A damage deposit of AUD 50 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via bank transfer, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note that there is a 1.9% charge when you pay with an American Express credit card. Please note that there is a limit of one dog. Pets can only be accommodated inside the guest house if they are fully house trained and are not allowed on beds or furniture. There is a single kennel provided outside for your pet. You must bring your own pet bedding and bowls.
