"Cons: I recently booked an apartment through Booking.com, and it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The listed price was 17,600 AMD, but when I went to complete the booking, the price suddenly jumped to 27,000 AMD. This increase was barely noticeable, written in tiny letters during the payment process. It felt misleading and unfair. When I reached out to the host for assistance, they were anything but helpful. Their response was dismissive: “It’s not our fault you didn’t see that,” and they shifted all the blame to Booking.com, claiming they had no responsibility in the matter. I felt like I was getting the runaround, and their rude tone only added to my frustration. To top it off, I would still have to pay the original 17,600 AMD if I wanted to cancel. How is that fair? It feels like a total scam, and I expected better from both the host and the platform. As I already booked the apartment I went there. The apartment was not clean when I arrived even though I paid the high cleaning fee. The shower had poor drainage, causing water to get backed up, and to make matters worse, I found long hair in the bed. Given the price I paid, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness. It was frustrating to feel like I was overcharged for a service that wasn’t delivered." ~Arman
