"Pros: The apartment has a very central location while is not on a busy street, so you don't get much noise.
It is quite spacious, has a separate big kitchen with a dining area and living room. It seems the bathroom and the kitchen were renovated quite a while ago, but still not bad.
Cons: We had a terrible experience with the host on check-in.
If you check the terms and conditions for this flat before booking on booking.com, it says that the flat accepts only cash and there are no fees before check-in. But the company, managing the flat, demanded payment through a link after the booking was confirmed. I haven't received that message, otherwise, I would have cancelled my booking, as on top of any correspondence with hotels/apartments, booking.com put advice, telling not to pay any money, which is not included in the description in your booking. I saw his message when I tried to contact him a day before my arrival to ask for directions for check-in. The host was very arrogant.
I explained to him, that I can pay only after check-in as that was written in the conditions of the booking.com for this property and also asked him to allow to pay me on Monday, as we were arriving on Sunday, and any transaction with my UK card keeps extra charge if you don't pay with GBP. I just needed to take my Armenian card from the bank on Monday and pay the rent. That became a big story, he complained to Booking.com that I am refusing to pay, so I had to pay from my UK card, and he complained even after the payment, as I received another call from booking.com even after the payment. I was very frustrated. If they don't like booking.com conditions, why they are working with them? I would never stay in this flat because of the host. I am using bookin.com since 2008 and I am travelling quite frequently and I have never met such arrogant behaviour from any host." ~Lily_11
