"Pros: Combination of price, location, and room size are great. 15 minute walk to the center (although there's not much of a center anyway), the house has big, spacious rooms, and the shared bathroom seems to be recently renovated. The wifi is EXCELLENT. I was worried about this based on the remote location of Meghri, but I was on a large call for work with at least six of us on video, and there was no problem at all. I ate breakfast and dinner there one day, and both were good, with plenty of food. Basic but authentic meals, home cooked, using vegetables and fruits from their property. Especially given the limited options in town, I'd recommend it. Hosts speak limited english but enough that it wasn't a problem, and they were friendly and accommodating. Cons: The room could have had a bit more furniture in it - there are a lot of chairs (like 4 or 5!) but otherwise just one low table and nothing else, not even a place to hang a towel. But for the price and considering everything, it's a minor complaint." ~George

"Pros: Here is the honest truth. Come here if you want a small taste of what it is like to grow up in a small town in the Soviet Union on the border of Iran, but if you want a lavish hotel tailored to foreigners used to foreign standards and don't care about culture or interacting with people, find another place. I had a great time, I was invited on pomegranate wine for a good price, invited into their kitchen for free food, and was fed free fruits that he grew in his garden, and was told stories about what it was like to grow up in the Soviet union. "Pros: the interior of hotel and rooms were nice. rooms had baclony view of mountains. rooms were nice and clean. owners were a nice couple, and helpful. there is a restaurant and supermarket about 500meters from the hotel. Cons: breakfast was very expensive due to variety the food we received. breakfast was just a pack and there is no restaurant in the building. the owners can not speak english well." ~Nima
