"Pros: We were surprised by the host's hospitality and the whole place. It looks a little bit like a medieval castle. The breakfast was various and tasty, the room was super clean, and the location was very close to the Czarny Groń ski slope. There's absolutely no chance to find anything even close to that price on that level. Highly recommended!

"Pros: We traveled to Poland from the UK, primarily to visit Auschwitz, somewhere we had wanted to see for many years. It was our first break away from our 3 children, so honestly, we needed a rest! I found Urlopowa Chata online and it looked perfect for the relaxing location that we had wanted, and I'm so glad I did! It did not disappoint!!
The owners met us on arrival, they were very friendly and showed us around explaining how everything worked, there are instructions but none in English, so pay attention if you don't read Polish, but we found everything pretty self explanatory. The whole place was extremely clean, probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed! The outdoor facilities are what really made it, plus those views are unbelievable! Sitting in the hot tub, looking at the views was bliss! We stayed as a couple, but are hoping to return with the Kids. The place has loads to keep the kids entertained, even a play house, games room and ride on toys! The house felt safe, there are lockable shutters on windows and doors, and the house and outdoor facilities are behind lockable gates, so I would feel confident that young children couldn't wander off! There are two double bedrooms (one downstairs) and a room with 4 single beds, so lots of options for couples and families.
You are out in the sticks, which is what we wanted, but didn't have any problems getting taxis, but we had pre booked them. We found the drivers very helpful, two of them offered to take us to the shops to get food, as they knew we were up the hill with no car! But there was a shop within walking distance (which we didn't actually end up using so can't comment on what it was like). Having a car would make life a lot easier though! Even the owners of the house offered to drive us down to the shop as we arrived at the house at 9pm.
The airport ride took about 1 hour 15 minutes. Auschwitz was around 45 mins.
Cons: The house is lovely, a few minor niggles, things like a creaky bed and shower that doesn't stay upright (there is another that works perfectly), but they are the only things that I could say were slightly negative. It wouldn't be somewhere I'd stay in the winter as I think it would be hard to get to by car."
