The hotel is situated on the North Wales coast overlooking the spectacular Menai Straits. It is within easy reach of Snowdonia and only 26 miles from Holyhead - the gateway to Ireland. It is in the centre of famous Caernarfon, and provides easy access to major towns such as Chester, Manchester and Liverpool.

The 110 bedrooms are of a medium size and decorated to a very good standard in a luxurious traditional style. All rooms have been completely refurbished and the hotel now have a number of disabled rooms.

There is a more formal restaurant as well as a less formal bar menu available all day. The formal restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary flair.
